For over 75 years, the family Gude and the name Gude have been synonymous in Kassel with gastronomy and the hotel trade at the highest level. At the same time, our house is in a constant state of change: because the demands of our guests continue to develop - and we change with them. Nevertheless, together we maintain our family atmosphere.

F.A.Q. - Answers to frequently asked questions

Sustainability is a central element of our corporate philosophy. As a Green Sign Level 4 certified hotel, we meet the highest standards for accommodation establishments in the areas of ecology, economy and social responsibility.

After our first Green Sign certification in 2022, we were able to significantly increase our fulfillment of all criteria once again in December 2024. We are very proud of this!

You can check in on all weekdays from 3.00 pm. Check-out is until 11.00 am. Our reception is open from 6.00 am to midnight.

You are welcome to bring your dog with you. We charge a fee of 30 € per dog and night.

We offer you our hotel's own parking lot for €10 or a space in our underground garage for €16. You will find free parking spaces on the streets around our hotel.

Our hotel is accessible/suitable for people with disabilities or reduced mobility. However, it is not fully wheelchair accessible.

A baby crib or extra bed is available in your room on request.
Our Restaurant Pfeffermühle is open Monday to Saturday from 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm (kitchen until 10.00 pm). Saturday also from 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm (kitchen until 1.30 pm). Breakfast is served Monday to Saturday from 06.30 am to 10.00 am and Sunday from 07.00 am to 10.30 am. We are happy to open our Salzbar for you on request.
With the streetcar (stop directly in front of the hotel) you can reach the city center in 11 minutes. By car you also need about 11 minutes for the approx. 4.5 km. By bike you are about 20 minutes on the way. Tickets are available at our reception.
The nearest highway exit Kassel-Niederzwehren (A49) is approx. 2 min or 1.3 km away. The freeway exit Kassel-Auestadion (A9) is approx. 4 min or 2.1 km away.
There are two charging stations for your electric car from Städtische Werke Kassel on our hotel property.
You will receive free bathrobes, slippers and sauna towels on request.

If you are coming by train from outside Kassel, you can reach us via Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe station (alternatively via our Kassel main station). From there, there are numerous bus and train connections to the Dennhäuser Straße stop, directly in front of our hotel.

You can reach our hotel by car via the A49 Kassel-Niederzwehren exit or the Kassel Auestadion exit. Both exits are a short distance (2 or 4 minutes) from the Hotel Gude.

We are happy to provide you with our own rental bikes. If you would like e-bikes, we will be happy to help you hire them.

We list all allergenic ingredients in our dishes for you on our menu. We are happy to take gluten, lactose and fructose intolerances into account. Please inform us of any other intolerances before your arrival. We will be happy to check the implementation for your meals.
Our rooms are cleaned daily from 07:00 to 15:00. We are happy to comply with your wishes.
You are welcome to leave your luggage with us.
Some of our rooms have air conditioning. Please ask when making your room reservation. The conference rooms and the restaurant are air-conditioned.
